my approach

I bring a laid back, easy going, and happy energy to the wedding day that allows you to celebrate and enjoy every moment as I capture it. Out of all of the amazing vendors you choose for your wedding day, your photographer is the one you will spend the most time with. I spend a lot of time and energy making sure I know who my couples really are. I want to stand back and let the story unfold as I capture it. However, ya girl is an artist. I will make sure you're in the best light, that your hair is just right, and that I am telling your story in the most beautiful way.

Skip the posing

The days of smiling awkwardly at the camera are gone. When it comes portrait time, I skip the poses and instead, offer you silly prompts like "walk together like you're drunk," or "sniff her neck!" to help get you loosened up in front of the camera. This may sound ridiculous, which it totally is. But the result is beautiful, authentic, joy filled moments captured on camera every time.

Candids are key

I'm not into recreating or faking moments. On the wedding, I'm carefully watching for all of those fun, beautiful, glorious, heartfelt, silly, and honest moments that are happening between you and your loved ones. This creates imagery that makes you feel as though you are right back in the moment when you are looking at the pictures.

 FAQs

Q: Where are you located?

Currently dwelling in sunny San Diego and loving it!

Q: Do you travel for weddings?

YES! My work takes me all over the world and I LOVE to travel! If you’re bringing me along for your wedding, I ask that cost of travel is covered - that includes flights, hotels, and rental cars. I’ll cover the food!

Q: Do you require a deposit to book?

I take a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. Once I receive your deposit and your signed contract, I’m all yours!

Q: Do you do engagement sessions?

Yep! Several of my packages include engagement sessions and they can be booked separately. I like to include them because I think they are a great way for us all to get to know one another and get comfortable around the camera!

Q: What about family sessions?

I take on select family work! You won’t see that featured here, but if you’re interested, drop me a line and let’s talk!

Q: Will you help me with my wedding timeline?

I will definitely consult with you about how to best lay out the wedding day so that we have plenty of time for pictures and all the other good stuff. Making sure we know when the optimal times for portraits are and making sure you have adequate time to soak up the day are my top priorities! My number one suggestion for couples is to hire a wedding planner. Even if it’s just a coordinator for the day of the wedding…it will be an investment well made and you’ll be able to relax knowing that everything is taken care of!

Q: Do you offer photo albums?

Yes! After many years of searching, I have finally found a printing company that I trust with such an important heirloom. I work with you to custom design your photo album before sending it to production, where it will be hand sewn and printed on archival paper, with ink that will withstand the test of time.
